A very rare York silver George III teapot. Of oblong form with a raised band round the middle. The raised lid and finial are the same shape, a curved spout and a fruitwood handle. All standing on a pedestal on four ball feet.
Clearly hallmarked for by James Barber and William Whitwell, York 1815.
This is a very rare and highly collectable York teapot, with very light wear and no play in the hinge.
No repairs or erasures some minor bruising around the raised band to the centre of the body, the marks are clearly struck. 
Overall in very fine / excellent condition.
