A Georgian Silver Teapot London 1799 Peter and Anne Bateman

A very good silver Georgian teapot of oval form. Concentric reeded bands to top and bottom. The concave domed lid  with concealed hinge and wooden pineapple finial above silver leaves. Tapering straight spout and curved ebonised wooden handle with thumbpiece. Contemporary monogram to one side.
 
Marked to the base for London 1799 by Peter and Anne Bateman. The lid marked with the makers mark and the lion passant.
 
This is a very fine teapot in original condition with no damage or repair. The wooden pineapple and handle are in excellent order. The marks clearly struck. Lovely colour and patina.
