A very good quality silver salver of circular form. The cast border of shell form shaped scroll design. The central plate with leaf and flower decoration about a crest of a tree with shield in a shaped rocaille cartouche. The whole standing on three leaf capped scroll feet.
Clearly marked to the underside for London 1754 by specialist salver maker William Peaston.
A very fine example of William Peaston's exceptional work. Absolutely original condition with no damage or repair. Stands true on the table. Wonderful colour and patina. A very attractive piece of George II silver.
