An 18C Georgian Irish Silver Card Tray or Waiter by Joseph Jackson
A fine early George III Irish silver card tray or waiter of circular form. A bead rim and inner bead decoration. The plate with a band of wrigglework and decorated with garlands of flowers. The centre of the plate with a monogram and a crest of a wolf holding a crown. The whole standing on three hoof feet.
Marked for Dublin by Joseph Jackson. This is probably mid-1770's. The date letter is too rubbed to be certain of the exact year.
Very fine overall condition with one or two tiny dints to the rim and no sign of damage or repair. Stands true on a flat surface. The definition of the engravings and beadwork are still crisp.
This is a very attractive small tray of lovely colour and patina.
