A Very fine large George III silver coffee pot of baluster form with cast swan neck spout, bell shaped lid and beaded acorn finial. Exquisitely embossed with flowers and foliage. Standing on a stepped circular pattern foot. Original double C scroll ebonised fruitwood handle with original silver mounting pins.
Clearly marked to the underside of the base for London 1770 by Walter Brind. The lid is marked with the makers mark and the lion passant.
The entire piece is in superb original condition. No signs of any damage or repair. The hinge is good and the lid fits well. The wooden handle is in excellent order and is firm in its mounts. The hallmarks are clearly struck to the underside and clearly visible to the lid although slightly more worn.
This is an exceptionally good large size coffee pot by the excellent maker Walter Brind who is renowned for his extremely fine embossed work.
