A rare George II Irish silver coffee pot with tapering sides, with a raised domed lid and compressed acorn finial. A tapering straight spout and wooden handle.
Hallmarked for Dublin 1732 by either the Limerick silversmith John Robinson or the Dublin silversmith Thomas Boulton.
Overall in very fine condition with some rubbing to the maker’s marks.
John Robinson was a Limerick silversmith, it is recorded that they had some of the work produced assayed in Dublin during this period.
Thomas Boulton is the most sought-after of the of the Dublin silversmiths.
