All pieces are clearly hallmarked for London, 1887 by Martin, Hall & Co. The bases are also marked with a pattern number Rd19001 in a diamond lozenge.
A very good pair of Victorian silver candlesticks by Martin, Hall & Co, London 1887. With elegant barley-twist columns rising to the Corinthian style capitals with removable sconces. All standing on a fluted square base, filled with green baize underneath.Very good overall condition and of good gauge and lovely patina. Stands true on a flat surface, a lovely pair.
Height - 26.5cm or 10 1/4 inches
Width of base - 11cm or 4 inches
The candlesticks are loaded/weighted so it is not possible to give a total weight of the silver.
