A Very Good Pair of Georgian Cast Silver Candlesticks, London 1752 by William Grundy
A Very fine pair of George III cast silver table candlesticks with square bases shaped and stepped with shell form corners. The fluted columns rising above a rope twist knop to a square knop with conforming shell form corners. The capitals of cotton reel form with two rope twist bands above a central plain band. The sconces of conforming pattern.
Marked to the underside for London 1752 by William Grundy. Both bases and sconces are crested with a lion rampant wielding a sword above a monogram.
Both sticks are in excellent original condition without damage or repair. Superb colour and patina.
