A Superb Kings Pattern Silver Table Service/Canteen for Six London 1870 G Adams
A very fine Victorian silver table setting for six by George Adams of Chawner and Co. in double struck Kings Pattern with diamond and shell heels.
Consisting of six serving/table spoons, six table forks, six dessert forks, six dessert spoons, six teaspoons, six table knives, six dessert knives, two ladles and a butter knife, six plated fish knives and six fish forks.
All the pieces are identically marked for London 1870 by George Adams. The ladles are by the same maker but dated 1866.The silver handled table knives are marked for London 1965 and the silver handled dessert knives are marked Sheffield 1964. The steel blades unmarked.
The fish knives and forks are plated and both blades and handles bear marks for Harrison Brothers & Howson.
All the pieces are in very fine order. No damage or repair and the definition of the pattern is still crisp. Only very minor signs of wear throughout. Hallmarks all very clear.
